The Dolby Gang

The ethos of the Dolby Gang is to “Fill Ya Boots With Country” and spread enjoyment and pleasure of country music to both current and next generation fans to keep the music LIVE!!

We believe it doesn’t have to be from a certain age or a certain style to be good, if it sounds good, it is good, as long as it’s a country song! we hope you will enjoy our “take” on some of Country’s finest

We are a relatively new group on the UK country scene (formed after the covid pandemic) from a bunch of seasoned

& experienced musicians. The love of country music brought us together (and we are relatively close to each other in the East Midlands)

Our country style ranges quite a bit from traditional to modern, however we seem to really like a modern traditionalist, honky tonk style of playing. We started off playing covers but are now introducing our own into the mix.

What we found interesting after we got going was, we have multiple song writers in the group, each with their own style (so for the initial CD we included 1 song from each). Moving forward we will probably add a lot more (as we already have enough material for another couple of original albums)

Our first album “Fill Ya Boots With Country VOL 1” is out now on all digital platforms, with probably lots more to come... so be good if you can check it out as well as our new singles, and give us a like on our Facebook page (facebook.com/thedolbygang)

The songs I choose to sing are real and relatable, with a mix of emotions, happy, sad, and everything in-between, My sets are a tribute to various artists, male or female, in no particular order, Patsy Cline, Heather Myles, Brandy Clark, Martina McBride, Tanya Tucker, Lorrie Morgan, George Strait and many more, appealing to listeners and line dancers alike.

My songs are inspired by personal experiences , and I am proud to have recorded two of them , 'On My Own Terms' and 'What a Fool I've Been' I plan to write more in the future, upbeat and with happier lyrics. After singing in various venues for over a decade I have found my feet in the country scene over the last five years. Two ambitions I have in my journey as a country singer are to connect with and entertain my audience and to learn to play the guitar (work in progress).
